Explosions in French waste-to-energy plants are causing millions in damages and posing significant safety hazards. The primary cause is often small gas cartridges, which lead to frequent and costly operational shutdowns. 

In response, the German technology firm Wasteer, in partnership with the French waste management specialist Nextwaste, is introducing a proven AI-based solution. The system utilises advanced camera technology to identify high-risk waste upon delivery, aiming to enhance both safety and efficiency. This development could mark a turning point for the French WtE sector.
