Waste management is organised very differently across Europe. Some countries are highly developed and have sophisticated governance structures in place to process their municipal and commercial waste to the highest possible standard. Other countries, however, have considerable ground to make up.

At WtE Monitor, we have compiled the most important facts and figures on the waste treatment systems of the respective European countries from publicly available sources. This allows us to assess the development potential in terms of waste-to-energy activities.
