Liedtke, 57, has been a member of the SWK executive board since 1 September 2007 and its spokesman since 1 November 2011. At the Krefeld-based utility, he is responsible for the energy and transport business units.
Energy Customer Base Tripled
During his time in office, the number of customers in the energy business of SWK, which operates in Germany nationwide, has tripled to more than 780,000.
Alongside his operational responsibilities, Liedtke is Vice-President for Energy of the German Association of Local Utilities (Verband kommunaler Unternehmen, VKU). He also chairs the VKU regional group for North Rhine-Westphalia. In these roles, he represents the perspectives of municipal companies in energy, climate and economic policy debates.
Among other positions, Liedtke is a member of the supervisory board of RWE Power AG and of the Zukunftsrat (future council) of Westenergie AG.
Energy and Mobility Transition Ahead
“The renewed appointment to the executive board fills me with great joy and gratitude. This confirmation is for me both recognition of our joint work to date and an incentive for the tasks ahead,” said Carsten Liedtke, spokesman of the executive board of SWK AG.
According to Liedtke, the energy and mobility transition, digitalisation and transformation, and the further development of sustainable municipal infrastructure pose major challenges but also offer opportunities. He said he would pursue this path together with SWK’s employees, his fellow board member Kerstin Abraham, the supervisory board and the company’s partners, and continue to develop SWK as a reliable service provider for people in Krefeld, the region and across Germany.
