Philipp Andree has been appointed Team Leader for Political Affairs at EEW. In this function, he is responsible for the political representation of the EEW Group and reports to Svea Schröder, Head of Communication, Sustainability and Politics.

With his team, Andree will strengthen the strategic positioning of EEW in key energy, climate, and circular economy debates at both national and European levels.

Strategic Focus On Climate And Circular Economy

A primary focus of his work will be on issues such as CO₂ reduction, Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU), Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), and the political classification of thermal waste treatment’s role in a circular economy. He will also systematically expand the dialogue with political decision-makers, associations, and stakeholders, developing long-term, strategic cooperations.

Extensive Experience In Politics And Business

Andree brings many years of experience from the interface between politics and business. Before his move to EEW, he was active in association work, including at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK). He also served as Managing Director of the Federal Association of Climate Protection Companies (Bundesverband Klimaschutz-Unternehmen), where he was responsible for projects and political initiatives in the energy, climate, and circular economy sectors.
