The Waste-to-Energy plant at Emmenspitz in Zuchwil is operated by kenova AG (named Kebag AG until July 2024). It treats combustible waste from around 176 municipalities in the cantons of Solothurn and Bern. In 2025 the new two-line plant Kebag Enova, supplied by Kanadevia Inova, replaced the four-line plant that had operated on the site since 1976. kenova states that it produces the most electricity from waste of any Swiss plant.
